Preschool Program

This is the schedule for full day preschool students at Little Hearts Christian Academy. It is jam-packed with fun and engaging activities for the kids with a great balance of time spent indoors and outdoors.

The activities in the first half of the school day are intentionally designed to make sure our half day students get the early intervention they need to acclimate them to the school environment. They also have a healthy balance of indoor and outdoor time. They also will get lots of socialization and opportunities to do hands-on learning.

Little Hearts Christian Academy is delighted to work alongside families to help their children grow. Family engagement is encouraged because parents and teachers working together is a best practice. Parents should have a say in the things they want for their children. The Bible tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it," Proverbs 22:6 KJV. We want parents who are Christian to have a choice to choose a faith-based education for their child.

We will use communication folders, text, messenger, parent-teacher conferences, family nights, newsletters, our web page, a private Facebook page, and day-to-day interactions to communicate with family members.

Parents and grandparents are encouraged to volunteer. There will be many opportunities to volunteer throughout the year. We are looking for some ladies who would like to come help with snack crafts once or twice a month. We are also looking for guest readers to come visit. We will have tea parties, dances, and holiday parties as well.

We offer two choices for the preschool program; full-day or half-day.
Both programs run Monday-Friday.
The half-day program is 8:00am- 12:00pm. $125 per week
The full-day program is 8:00am- 4:00pm. $200 per week

Little Hearts Christian Academy uses a creative curriculum called Invitations to Play. It is a themed-based curriculum that supports teaching to the whole child. It supports growth in all areas of development: physical, cognitive, language, social-emotional, academic and spiritual.
Invitations to Play is aligned with Virginia's Early Learning & Development Standards and also aligns with Teachstone's CLASS Assessment Tool.
This curriculum has a variety of themes and holiday and religious themes that can be added.
In a faith-based environment, Little Hearts Christian Academy wants to help prepare children for kindergarten so they will be successful in school, foster a life-long love for learning, they will be good citizens, and they will be able to recognize God moving in their lives.
